June 1 (OXFORD) 12-3 pm. Our guest will be Susan Elia MacNeal whose World War II period mysteries feature an expat American working as a spy in England. Her latest is HIS MAJESTY’S HOPE ($15.00) in which Maggie Hope gets an entirely new identity to go behind enemy lines. The other books in the series are MR. CHURCHILL’S SECRETARY and PRINCESS ELIZABETH’S SPY.

June 8 (HANOVER, MD) All day Scintillation of Scions VI a gathering of like-minded Sherlockian Groups. We will be selling books in the book room. Unfortunately the event is sold out, but here is the website www.scintillation.org  because you’ll want to register for next year.

July 4 (OXFORD) 10am. – 4pm. We will have birthday cake to celebrate the store’s and the nation’s birthday. So spend the day in beautiful Oxford with us.

July 5 (OXFORD) 10am. Mystery Then and Now Book Club meets to discuss MR. CHURCHILL’S SECRETARY and DRINK TO YESTERDAY.

July 21 (OXFORD) 2-4 pm. We welcome Martin Walker, the author of the French police series set in the Perigord region, featuring Bruno, the Chief of Police. Martin will be signing the entire collection including his latest THE DEVIL’S CAVE. Of course we will have wine and cheese on the patio. We adore this series. I hope you will as well. July 27 (OXFORD) 1-3 pm. Our special guest will be Mary Jane Deeb, author of three books set in Provence: MURDER ON THE RIVIERA, CHRISTMAS MYSTERY IN PROVENCE, and DEATH OF A HARLEQUIN (all are $15.00). They feature a young woman who inherits a newspaper business from her grandmother. There is lots of local color and good eating. Refreshments will be served.

August 10 (OXFORD) 1-4 pm. Ellen Crosby joins us again, this time signing her new book MULTIPLE EXPOSURE ($25.00) about a woman photo-journalist who returns from London to Washington DC when her husband, who has been working undercover for the government, disappears.
